He was predeceased by: his parents, Bert McCarl and Ruth McCarl. He is survived by: his sister Pam Thompson (Bill); and his sibling's children, Bill (Genevieve), Christy (Perry), Becky (Phil) and Greg (Ashley).

Due to the COVID19 pandemic, there will be a private family service with interment at Thornton Cemetery.
