He was predeceased by: his wife Elsie. He is survived by: his children, Anna (late Robert), Russell (Norma) and Thomas Richard; his grandchildren, Rob (Marilou), Todd, Dean, Brent, Tommy and Julie; and his great grandchildren, Mariah, Robinson, Sierra, Trent and Cole.

“To Tom’s family: Tom meant so much to my Dad (George Cairns) as his best friend. They were like brothers. For 9 years they ate three meals together, played bingo, enjoyed entertainment at Pringle Creek and simply enjoyed each other’s company. I spent many a morning with Tom and Dad, Tom telling me about his years in Florida as he knew I lived there now. I so enjoyed getting to know Tom and considered him family. Our entire family, but especially Dad, will miss Tom! My deepest condolences. Bev C.”
