We bid farewell to Walter Rebot (Oshawa, Ontario), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on May 14, 2026 at the age of 80. Walter touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Roza Czyz and Stanley Rebot; his stepfather Joe Czyz; and his brother John Rebot. He is survived by: his wife Sharon (May); his daughters, Karen (Mike Rivers), Christa (Dave Gunn) and Stephanie (Stephen Tarling); his grandchildren, Ally, Zach Rivers, Gavin, Dawson Gunn, Duncan and Griffin Tarling; his siblings, Romana Owens and Dr. Morris Rebot; and his siblings-in-law, Sandi, Ken McDonald, Guy and Stephanie May. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 21st 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Oshawa Funeral Home (847 King St W, Oshawa, ON L1J2L4). A prayer was held on Thursday, May 21st 2026 at 7:30 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Friday, May 22nd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. George's Ukrainian Catholic Church (597 Albert St, Oshawa, ON L1H4T1). A burial was held on Friday, May 22nd 2026 at the St. Wolodymyr and St. Olha Ukrainian Cemetery (1112 Prestonvale Rd, Courtice, ON L1E2P3).
