He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Reginald Holmes and Evelyn Holmes; his wife Patricia Holmes; his children, Ryan Holmes Jennifer Holmes and Stephanie Nevermann (Alex); his siblings, Carol Taylor, Roxanne Kiraki (Victor) and Richard Holmes; and his grandchildren, Natalie Humphrey and Benjamin Nevermann.
