He was predeceased by: his parents, Maurice Chouinard and Marie-Rose Crevier; and his brother Daniel (Maryel). He is survived by: his wife Suzanne Minier-Chouinard; his grandchildren, Sophie, Amelie, Léon and Maurice; and his siblings, Marielle and Marc Chouinard. He is also survived by nephews, nieces and friends.
