He was predeceased by : his parents, François Quesnel and Léa; and his siblings, Richard, Irené (Anita Adam) and Gilles-Alain (Nicole Rémillard).

He is survived by : his siblings, Gaëtan (late Carmen Bourdon), Rolande, Françoise (Guy Racine), Marcelle (Claude Pilon) and Jean-Serge (Theresia Chapin); and his godsons, Michel Quesnel, Pierre Quesnel, Michel Pilon and Patrick Quesnel.
