He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Saunders and Dora Saunders; his son Kevin Saunders; and his siblings, Joy, Richard (Louise), Russell (Doreen), Calvin (Pat), Merwin (Jo) and Shirley (Stu).
He is survived by: his wife Winnifred; his children, Brenda (Dave) and Dwight (Nicole); and his grandchildren, Kevin (Catherine) and Kelsey (Michael). He is also survived by his family, friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 14th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Pinecrest Visitation Centre (2500 Baseline Rd, Ottawa, ON K2C3H9). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 14th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Pinecrest Remembrance Chapel (2500 Baseline Rd, Ottawa, ON K2C3H9).
