We announce the death of Barbara Simpson (Ottawa, Ontario), who passed away on October 3, 2026, at the age of 87. Barbara will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Barbara will be remembered for the impact she had on the lives of those around her. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Barbara’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She was predeceased by: her husband Raymond Simpson; and her daughters, Laura and Janet. She is survived by: her children, Steven (Chris), Kim (Jean-Pierre) and Penny (Ahmad); her grandsons, Eric (Tawny) and Alexandre; and her great grandchildren, Everly and Coen.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Racine, Robert & Gauthier Funeral Home (180 Montréal Rd, Ottawa, ON K1A0S2). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
