He was predeceased by : his former life partner Michaela (Moloney); and his son Larry. He is survived by : his wife Lise Julien; his sister Louise; and his children, Mark (Yasmine Ayroud), Philip, Teresa (Andrew Timms), Stéphane and Gerald (Cynthia Samboo). He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

He provided such a great example of how to live life even in to his nineties with flourish and adventure. My heart goes out to you all.”
