He was predeceased by: his wife Roelie Sissing; his parents, Joseph and Muriel; his half-sister Anna; and his brothers, Paul, Arch and Louis.

He is survived by: his children, Tony (Sandra) and Carey (Susanna); his grandchildren, Daniel, Stephen, Catherine and Sara; his brother Jack; and his sisters-in-law, Peggy, Alida and Pat.
