We are sad to announce that on June 9, 2021 we had to say goodbye to Bernhard Berends (Ottawa, Ontario). Leave a sympathy message to the family in the guestbook on this memorial page of Bernhard Berends to show support.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Andreas Berends and Anna Berends; his daughter Katherina Berends (Vivian Egido Vilarino); and his brothers, Willie and Heinz Berends.

He is survived by: his children, Anna and André (Josée); his grandchildren, Nikolas, Carina and Miguel; and his siblings, Andreas (Marianna), Erika (Egon), Hermann (Sabine), Rina (Max) and Wilma (Hans). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private memorial service will take place at a later date.

If friends so desire memorial donations may be made to the Elizabeth Bruyère Palliative Care Unit.
