She is survived by: her son Robert C. Hood; her daughter-in-law Lucy Hood; her daughter Susan E. Hood; her grandchildren, Jennifer E. Murphy, Zack Murphy, Emily M. Hood, Ja Bell, Tyler C. Hood, Alyssa Hood, Catharine C. Hood and Benjamin VanStarkenburg; and her great grandchildren, Connor D. Murphy and Astrid VanStarkenburg.

In lieu of flowers, Betty loved the work of Doctors Without Borders, her memory would be best served by helping this organization.

“May Betty Rest In Peace. Hi My Name is Tony Del Matto, I live in Belleville Ontario. I noticed that Betty spend some time on a property on Sandy's Cove in PEC. I was curious about the location of the property. My daughter Tania and Son in Law Jeff, purchased #52 Sandy's cove last year. I am wondering if it is close to Betty's place. It's a really nice area.
