With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Brenda Hayward of Ottawa, Ontario, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 8, 2025 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid adieu to Brenda's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Brenda has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Daphne Joyce and William James Freeman. She is survived by: her husband Ronald George Bodkin; her brother James Guy Squire Freeman; her children, Kathrine Elizabeth Hayward (John Munro), April Joyce Hayward (Deanna Manson) and James John Hayward (Seana Lovato); her stepchildren, Ronald Jeffery Bodkin (Catherine Bodkin) and Amy Elizabeth Bodkin-Dorsh (Pat Dorsh); and her stepgrandchildren, Liam Alexander Bodkin and Fiona Elizabeth Bodkin.
In lieu of flowers, donations to The Hospice of Windsor Essex, Pancreatic Cancer Canada, or the Cancer Society are appreciated.
