He was predeceased by: his parents, George and Olive "Irene". He is survived by: his wife Carol; his children, Michael and Julianna; his stepchildren, Jeremy (Ali) and Meredith; and his granddaughters, Zoe and Mary.

A celebration of life was held on Friday, February 13th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Tubman Funeral Homes Garden Chapel (3440 Richmond Rd, Nepean, ON K2H8H7). Visitation was held on Friday, February 13th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the same location.

“I am very saddened by the passing of my cousin Brian. As children and teenagers, Brian and I were very close. He lived in Ottawa and I in Toronto and Guelph and later B.C. We would have family visits a couple of times a year. Brian and I were like brothers then although our paths separated as adults. It was Brian who got me into playing the guitar as a teen by showing me a few basic chords on his guitar. Goodbye my brother. See you soon when I get home. Cousin Bruce in Australia.”
