We are sad to announce that on January 1, 2026, at the age of 99, Carmel O'Reilly in Ottawa, Ontario passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Carmel departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Carmel. Though Carmel may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Moyes and Myrtle May Moyes (Barnaby); and her husbands, Donald Moher and Michael O'Reilly. She is survived by: her daughters, Christine, Donna, Colleen, Joann, Diane, Mary-Lynn and Cynthia. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
A reception was held on Saturday, January 17th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Pinecrest Reception Centre (2500 Baseline Rd, Ottawa, ON K2C3H9).
