Changgen Han Obituary

We are sad to announce that on September 29, 2025, at the age of 92, Changgen Han (Ottawa, Ontario) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As Changgen departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Changgen. Though Changgen may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.

He is survived by: his wife Jingsu Fan; his son Yangdong Han (Jeongwoo Park); his granddaughter Tara Yumin Han; his daughter Xijin Han (Shanpei Rong); and his grandson Yuecheng Rong.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 2:30 PM at 150 Katimavik Rd, Kanata, ON K2L2N2. A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Capital Funeral Home & Cemetery (3700 Prince of Wales Dr, Ottawa, ON K2C3H1). A reception will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at 150 Katimavik Rd, Kanata, ON K2L2N2.
