Gabby Jennings wrote a sympathy message

“While I only knew Cliff for a year, his coaching made an incredibly meaningful impact on my life. Cliff inspired myself and all of the JDubs through his passion for rowing, and was truly invested not only in the improvement of his athletes as rowers, but also as people. He always pushed me to work hard and was such a selfless, dedicated coach. I will forever cherish Cliff’s advice, funny remarks and emails, and support. My deepest condolences to Cliff’s loved ones, he will be so missed ❤”

Patty Costain wrote a sympathy message

“Our deepest sympathy to Cliff's family. We met Cliff when our daughters became friends at a very young age. They are still friends to this day. Our daughters also played hockey together and we would have great chit chats with him in the stands. It was easy to see that he loved hockey and was so proud of Blair playing. A great Dad, that was for sure. With caring thoughts and sincere condolences, Patty & Jim Costain”
