It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Thomas Dempsey (Ottawa, Ontario), who passed away on February 15, 2026, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, David is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. He was predeceased by: his parents, Malcolm Dempsey and Ellen McAdam; and his sister Ethel Ogilvie (Dempsey). He is survived by: his wife Mimi Dempsey (Micheline Ouellette); his children, Alistair and Elizabeth (Wondimu Thomson); and his granddaughter Ayana.
