He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Nicole "Nikki" (Burley); his children, Joshua (Lauren), Abigail and Hannah; his parents, Shirley Giesbecht and Edwin Giesbecht; and his siblings, Rowena, Karl (Christine) and Eloise. He was also cherished by many relatives and friends.

Visitation was held on Friday, February 27th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Daley Family Funeral Home (6971 Bank St, Metcalfe, ON K0A2P0). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, February 28th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Parkway Pentecostal Church (7275 Parkway Rd, Ottawa, ON K4P1K7).
