He was predeceased by: his parents, LeRoi Betts and Audrey Betts; and his brothers, David (Wendy) and John (Annie). He is survived by: his wife Mary (Ottawa); his children, Sheldon (Cathy) of Ottawa, Susan (David) of Vancouver and Karen (Steve) of Vernon, BC.; and his grandchildren, Dylan, Morgan, Ryan, Shane, Michael, Andrew and Lizzie. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, great grandchildren and many extended family.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 2nd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Tubman Funeral Homes - Garden Chapel (3440 Richmond Rd, Nepean, ON K2H8H7). A reception will be held on Sunday, November 2nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the same location.
