He was predeceased by: his brothers, Bob and Mike; and his brothers-in-law, Paul and Pierre. He is survived by: his sibling's children, Sherri, Shannon, Cynthia, Barbara, Shawn, Scott and Chris. He is also survived by his family and his many, many friends.
A memorial service was held on Thursday, May 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Pinecrest Remembrance Chapel (2500 Baseline Rd, Ottawa, ON K2C3H9).
In the 1980's, Don organized fundraising and was otherwise involved in the promotion of gay rights through Pink Triangle Services, ÉGALE, and the Lambda Foundation.
