He was predeceased by: his parents, James Lorne Stephenson and Hannah; and his brothers, Jim, Robert and Roy.

He is survived by: his wife Linda (Drouin); his sons, Ian (Juliet) and Michael (Danielle) of Ottawa, ON; and his grandchildren, Kenna and Nicola.
