It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Joan Nichol (Ottawa, Ontario), who passed away on June 9, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Dorothy Joan Nichol to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William James Ash and Gertrude Jean Wright; and her in-laws, Beatrice Dowd, Byrtle Nichol, Owen, Gordon, Joane (Clifford Scott), Audrey Trudeau and Karen Nichol.
She is survived by: her spouse Pud Nichol; her daughters, Jo-Anne (Geoff Valentine) and Janet (Peter Zimolong); her grandchildren, Grace (Eli Haime), Devon, Robyn Valentine, Cameron, Emma and Trevor Zimolong; her siblings, Connie (Ron Goslin), Carl (Donna Henderson) and Audrey (Doug Gordon); and her in-laws, Raymond, Ross, Judy Nichol and Audrey Piché. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Capital Funeral Home & Cemetery (3700 Prince of Wales Dr, Ottawa, ON K2C3H1). A reception will be held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the same location.
