She was predeceased by: her husband James Robert MacKay; and her siblings, James Whillans, Marjorie Moss and Lois Newcombe. She is survived by: her children, Robert Ian MacKay and Janet Katherine MacKay; her grandchildren, Jamie and Robyn MacKay Batsch; and her sister-in-law Grace Whillans. She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews.
