She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Samuel Akinsowon and Marian Akinsowon; her parents-in-law, Julius and Suzanna Aiyere; her husband Victor; her children, Emmanuel and Siobhan; her siblings, Adunni, Tokunbo and Abimbola; her siblings-in-law, Kunle, Tunde, Dipo, Yinka, Yejide, Tolu and Titi; and her sisters, Fola and Titilayo. She was also cherished by grandmother to her two grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Shields Funeral Homes & Chapel (1411 Hunt Club Rd, Ottawa, ON K1V1A6). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 12:30 PM to 12:45 PM at the Hope Cemetery Chapel (4660 Bank St, Gloucester, ON K1T3W6). A burial will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at the Hope Cemetery (4600 Bank St, Gloucester, ON K1T0Y7).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Elizabeth's memory to the Ottawa Hospital Foundation or Bruyère Health Foundation.
