She was predeceased by: her parents, John Downey and Margaret Downey; and her siblings, Ambrose Downey (Elizabeth), Bertram Downey (Madeline), Aloysius Downey (Irene), Cyril Downey (Marjorie), Elias Downey (Mary Ann), Harold Downey, Frances Desjardins, Florence Shea (Joe), Madeline Shelley (Jack) and Cecilia Downey.

She is survived by: her husband Brent; her children, Barbara (Brian Lovesey) and Jim (Cindy Roy); her sister Kay; and her siblings-in-law, Beatrice Downey and Roland Desjardins. She is also survived by her many nieces, nephews, family and close friends.
