In the echoes of fond remembrance, may a sense of peace be found, knowing that the memories held dear will continue to shape and inspire her loved ones, keeping Ellen's spirit alive in the hearts and actions of family and friends alike. While her presence may be gone, her impact lives on in the kindness shown to others and the joy found in the ordinary moments of life.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elsie Sorensen Lougheed and Dr. Marvin Norman Lougheed. She is survived by: her siblings, Mel (Sandy Matheson), Donna, Kendall (Jill Austin), Jill (Sydney Reynolds) and Sean (Kathleen Lennon); her stepsiblings, Joyce Thornhill (Josh Gotbaum) and Hugh Thornhill (Laura Thornhill); and her stepmother Carole Lougheed. She is also survived by 10 nieces and nephews and 17 grand-nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to Canadian Guide Dogs for the Blind or Ottawa Community Immigrant Services (OCISO) would be appreciated.
