Fran Black Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Fran Black (Ottawa, Ontario), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 13, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Fran is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Fran's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Julian Robins and Alice Robins. She is survived by: her son Fred (Simone); her granddaughters, Melissa and Stephanie; and her siblings, Ann, Louise, Enid, Fr. Bill and Joie. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, May 20th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Pinecrest Cemetery (2500 Baseline Rd, Ottawa, ON K2C3H9).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada or the Dementia Society of Ottawa.
