Frances (Throop) Major Obituary

She was predeceased by: her husband Bob; her brothers, Needham Throop (late Evelyn) and Robert Throop (late Doreen); and her parents, Sheldon Throop and Lila Throop.
She is survived by: her children, Karyn Larson (Marc) of Stittsville and Andrew (Tara Beattie) of Calgary; her grandchildren, David, Michael Larson (Kristina Arezina), Nicole and Sydney Major; and her sister Bernice Wyse (late Errol). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes (3440 Richmond Rd, Ottawa, ON K2H8H7). A burial will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Beechwood Cemetery (280 Beechwood Ave., Vanier, ON K1L8A6). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Stittsville United Church (6255 Fernbank Rd, Stittsville, ON K2S1X5). A reception will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 at 2:30 PM at the Stittsville United Cemetery (6255 Fernbank Rd, Stittsville, ON K2S1X5).
