He was predeceased by: his parents, Ishmael Wango and Alexandra Njeri Wango; and his siblings, Zibia Wangari, Willie Njoroge and Mannaseh Makumi.
He is survived by: his children, Ngatho Githii (Christina), Mwihaki Githii and Muchigi Githii; his siblings, Perpetua Wambui Wango, Zakayo Mwangi, Anna, Nyambura and Deborah Ngatho; Mary Githii. He is also survived by his daughter moved into his youngest son's.
