With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Geraldine Marion Kane of Ottawa, Ontario, who passed away on August 4, 2025 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elvina Gould (Johnson) and William Gould; her daughter Judy Johnstone; and her brothers, Wilfred and Angus Gould.
She is survived by: her son John Kane of Ottawa; her grandchildren, Alexander Kane (Krista), Alison MacNevin (Mark), Lindsay Pols (Kevin) and Sarah Papousek (Jimmy Lapointe); her great grandchildren, Kate, Olivia MacNevin, James Kane, Benjamin Lapointe and Mason Pols; and her brother Ron Gould (Anne) of Fredericton, NB..
In lieu of flowers, donations in Geraldine's memory may be made to the Heart Institute Foundation at the University of Ottawa or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
