With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gisela Chapman (Ottawa, Ontario), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 2, 2026 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, may Gisela find peace everlasting, cradled in the gentle embrace of the universe. And as we stand on the shores of remembrance, may her legacy inspire us to live each day with purpose, passion, and profound gratitude for the gift of life itself.
She was predeceased by: her husband Paul; and her daughter Deborah. She is survived by: her son James; her son-in-law Charles Hall; her sister Ilona Taylor; and her nephew Malcolm Taylor.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 16th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Westboro Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes (403 Richmond Rd, Ottawa, ON K2A0E9).
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Ottawa Humane Society or the University of Ottawa Heart Institute would be appreciated.
