He is survived by: his wife Grace Nelson; his daughter Monica; his grandchildren, Owain and Anika Marsh; his daughter Roslyn; his son-in-law Jim Boukouris; his grandchildren, Zoë, Lena and Greg Boukouris; and his sister Astrid Bjerring.
