We bid farewell to Helene (Jurgens) Culhane (Ottawa, Ontario), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on June 11, 2025. Helene touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Though Helene may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Helene touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her husband John "Jack" Culhane; and her sister Olga Jurgens. She is survived by: her children, Anna Cunning (Len) and Matthew (Deb Quayle); her grandchildren, Mark (Jessica), Kevin (Melissa), Zak (Kirstyn) and Ben (Brynn); and her great grandchildren, Zoë, Aias, Loa and Everett.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 15th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Pinecrest Visitation Centre (2500 Baseline Rd, Ottawa, ON K2C3H9). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Annunciation Orthodox Cathedral (15 Lebreton St N, Ottawa, ON K1R7H1).
