He is survived by: his wife Nasreine Canaran; his daughters, Priya Claes (Herman Claes) and Robina Canaran (Gary Reid); his grandsons, Kiefer, Niels, Philippe and Lukas; and his siblings, Nalini Massey, Vasant Canaran, Mohini Venketesalu and Jayant Canaran. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
