He was predeceased by: his children, De-Anne and Curtis; and his sister Cathy. He is survived by: his spouse Arleta; his children, Elana (Lisa-Scarlett), Laurel (Fred), Michael (Becky) and Leah (Andrew); his grandchildren, Meghan, Mikenna Adair and Andrea Manget; his brother John Achtemichuk (Ella); and his siblings-in-law, Deanna, Fernand Richer and Blake Campbell.
