He was predeceased by: his parents, John Leonard "Happy" and Sarah Barbara "Sadie" Hatfield (McInnis); his aunt Emma; his uncle Robie Palmer; and his siblings, Dorothy, Percy, Albert, Fred, Billy, Charlotte, Ina and Gerald.
He is survived by: his wife Diane; his sons, Mark (Susan Hatfield (Mahoney)) of Boston and Adam Hatfield (Jennifer Crookshank) of Ottawa; and his grandchildren, Declan, Maeve Hatfield, Ethan and Rowan Hatfield. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 14th 2026 at the Logan's Funeral Home (81 James St, Parry Sound, ON P2A1T7).
In lieu of flowers, "Doctor Jack" would be honoured by contributions to the West Parry Sound Health Centre Foundation. The Foundation's current priority is upgrading their surgical suite, which Jack as a surgeon would appreciate.
