He was predeceased by : his former life partner Diane Holmes; his siblings, Pat Dunton and Rob; his sister-in-law Nora Dunton; and his parents, Brunhilde Morphy and Wilson Dunton.

He is survived by : his wife Marjorie Lee Black (Sooky); his children, Betsy Wilson and Tom Dunton; his children-in-law, Ron Wilson and Margaret Hamilton; his stepchildren, Geoffrey, Cym and Sally Gomery; his grandchildren, Rob, Kate, Rory, Sasha, Rupert, Sarah, Madeleine, Charlie and Edward; his nieces, Nancy and Sara Dunton; his foster son Quoc Tran (Yuen); his children, André, Kim and Gabriel; and also, Louise Bunn, Pierre-Alain Bachecongi and Shawn Scromeda.
