He was predeceased by: his parents, Horace Soublière and Cecile Soublière (Blais); and his sister Lise. He is survived by: his wife Catherine Anderson Soublière; his sister Anne Marie (Normand); his children, Daniel (Teresa), Alexander (Lorraine), Anna (Gaylord) and Eric (Kathryn); his grandchild Matthieu; and his children, Thomas, Katrina, Anthony, Elisa, Noah, Sequoia, Sophie, Chloe, Beatrice, Emile and Benjamin.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Terry Fox Foundation, a cause that was very close to JP's heart.
