Joan Read Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joan Read (Ottawa, Ontario), who passed away on January 4, 2026 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the sacred silence of farewell, Joan is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Joan's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.

Visitation was held on Thursday, January 8th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cole Funeral Services (2500 Baseline Rd, Ottawa, ON K2C3H9). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 9th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Christ Church (3861 Old Richmond Rd, Ottawa, ON K2H5C1).
