She was predeceased by: her husband George Seymour Tweedie of Rockland; her parents, Charles Dibden and Gladys Dibden of Ottawa; and her siblings, Bill Dibden (Toronto) and Patricia Dibden (Ottawa).

She is survived by: her children, Cheryl, Brian (Patsy) and Scott (Elizabeth); and her grandchildren, Russell (Maygan) and Parker (Keira). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society (https://cancer.ca), The May Court Club of Ottawa or The Ottawa Humane Society would be much appreciated.

“I'm very sorry to hear of Joan's passing. We got to know each other at The May Court Club of Ottawa and I enjoyed her quick wit and straightforward attitude. I played bridge with her on occasion at her home in Alta Vista. She knew of my family, my grandfather Alex and grandmother Elsie Roger, who lived not far from her on Caton St. and she met my dad when he came to play at a May Court bridge fundraiser. I send my sincere condolences to you all. Margie Howsam”
