John left this world on May 10, 2026 at the age of 76, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Dodson and Jean Dodson; and his brother Stewart Dodson. He is survived by: his close friend Maggie Keith; his sons, Alexander (Isabel) and Samuel Dodson; his grandsons, Jack, Theo and Noah Dodson; the mother of his children Mary Sims; and his siblings, Heather Thunell (Thomas), Shauna Millar (Thomas) and Donald Dodson (Ruth). He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 31st 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Coopérative Funéraire D'Ottawa (419 St. Laurent Blvd, Ottawa, ON K1K2Z8). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, May 31st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
