As we bid adieu to John's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in his wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration John has bequeathed us. For though he may have departed from our sight, his spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
He was predeceased by: his son Michael; his parents, Mona Doucette (Kealey) and Lawrence''Lornie'' Doucette; and his brother-in-law Ralph Pastore. He is survived by: his wife Helene; his sister Laurel Doucette; his brothers-in-law, John and Claude Bergeron; and his niece Deanna Bergeron.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday, August 11th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Shields Funeral Homes & Chapel (1411 Hunt Club Rd, Ottawa, ON K1V1A6).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Lung Association, Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada or a charity of your choosing, Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Venosta or the Venosta Recreation Centre.
