It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Francis Summers (Ottawa, Ontario), who passed away on August 12, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Ann (Houlahan); his siblings, Noreen (Summers), Moloughney (late Des), Joan (Summers), Burnett (Kelvin) and Lenard Curnock (Debbie); and his parents-in-law, Helen Littlejohns (late Fred), Lois Coleman (late Alec), Marjorie McKenna (late Phil), Edward Houlahan (late Joan), Irene Chandler (late Robert), Theresa Chandler (late Phil), Neil Houlahan (late Helene), Tony Houlahan (Fran) and Roy Houlahan (Joanne).
He is survived by: his children, Lois Rochon, Margie Kerr (Dwayne) and John (Bettina); his grandchildren, Mitchell, Samantha Rochon, Teagan and Shaelen Summers; his brother Joe Cooney (Shirley); and his siblings-in-law, Kelvin Burnett (late Joan), Fran Houlahan and Joanne Houlahan. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.
