We became best of friends although we didn't see much of each other after our course other than Artic survival course and a short visit he made out to Comox. Pat was an awesome guy that I would trust with my life and a super fun guy to hang out with. I was shocked when I read that he had passed away, far to young, I felt very sad. “I first met Pat Malone when I was tasked to be attending officer at his trial in Ottawa for a traffic offence. The Crown immediately withdrew the charge when he asked pertinent questions to the taxi-driver who had stopped suddenly in front of him with no signals showing. We remained friends ever since.
