With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Joseph Ryan Morrissy (Ottawa, Ontario), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. John Morrissy and Mary Morrissy. He is survived by: his children, Mary, Sheila, Patricia (Walter), John (Maureen), Donal (Noreen), Bridget Morrissy Miko (James Miko), V. Louise Aubrey (Roland Aubrey), Christopher Morrissy and Damian Morrissy; his grandchildren, Noah Miko, Caleb Miko, Lauren Aubrey, Benjamin Aubrey, Regan Aubrey, Hilary Aubrey, Simon Aubrey, Declan Morrissy, Maeve Morrissy, Rowan McKerihen (Adam), Levi Morrissy and Isabella Morrissy; his wife Val; and his siblings, Mary and John. He is also survived by his sons-in-law; his grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 27th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Tubman Funeral Homes - Garden Chapel (3440 Richmond Rd, Nepean, ON K2H8H7). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, November 28th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Patrick Basilica (220 Kent St, Ottawa, ON K1R5E4).
