It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Josephine (Vilardo) De Curtis (Ottawa, Ontario), who passed away on October 9, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her brothers, Diego (Palma), Joe (Domenica), Sam (Rosa), Charlie (Domenica), Steve (Toni) and Frank (Mary).
She is survived by: her sisters, Anna (Jack) and Rosa (Tony); her husband Joe De Curtis; her children, John (Bonnie) and Elena (Darren); and her grandchildren, Michaela (Ozren) and Carter. She is also survived by extended family, and countless friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the West Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & Mc (150 Woodroffe Ave, Ottawa, ON K2A3T9). A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Holy Redeemer Parish (44 Rothesay Dr, Kanata, ON K2L2X1).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Arthritis Society Canada. The family has chosen to send donations to Canadian Cancer SocietyDonate Now (https://donate.cancer.ca).
