With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Julia Emi Fenrich (Ottawa, Ontario), who passed away on February 26, 2026 at the age of 42. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Julia leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Julia may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She is survived by: her husband Grant; her son Ronan; her brother Matthew (Chelsea); her nephews, Lukas and Kash; her brother Michael (Michele); and her mother Shizu. She is also survived by friends and coworkers.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 10th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Capital Funeral Home & Cemetery (3700 Prince of Wales Dr, Ottawa, ON K4M1B2). A memorial service was held on Tuesday, March 10th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation (ohfoundation.ca/ways-to-give/), an organization Julia supported during her journey.
