Though Karen may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Karen touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her sister Brenda; and her parents, Marg and Clare. She is survived by: her significant other John Hearty; her children, Chelsea and Tyler; and her brothers, Brian McFadyen (Lyn) and Brent McFadyen.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Canadian Foundation for Women's Health or to The Ottawa General Hospital.
