He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon and Eva. He is survived by: his children, George (Audra), Alex (Jeanne), Katherine (Keith) and Peter (Josefina); his grandchildren, Alexandra, Caroline (Ryan), Eva, Katherine, Leo, Elizabeth, Veronica, Emily and Alejandro; his great grandchild Jameson; his siblings, Catherine and Schoenberg (late George); and his siblings-in-law, Olga, Niessen (late Nikolaus), Alina Popp (Alfred), Andrew Forsyth (late Dorothy) and Helen Olsoufieff.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 21st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the West Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & Mc (150 Woodroffe Ave, Ottawa, ON K2A3T9). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, December 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Basil's Church (940 Rex Ave, Ottawa, ON K2A2P7). A reception will be held on Monday, December 22nd 2025 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Infinity Convention Centre (2901 Gibford Dr, Ottawa, ON K1V2L9).
The family thanks the staff at Glebe Centre Long Term Care for their wonderful care of Leo and kindly requests that donations be directed there in lieu of flowers.
